A heavy electric fireplace indicates that the material used for its manufacture is sturdy enough to last a long time. Also, a heavy electric fireplace is easier to balance compared with a light one because a light one can easily tip over with just a slight strike on it.

In terms of price, the more expensive the electric fireplace is does not necessarily mean that it is better. Sometimes, you might just be buying the brand but not the quality of the electric fireplace. But if you do not have an idea, it is best to buy an electric fireplace about a few hundreds in price. Going to the thousands limit might be a little pricey and impractical.
